Happy Thanksgiving, Ya'll!
I am celebrating this holiday with my mom, brother, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece in East Texas. My dad and husband are celebrating with their moms. It has been fun enjoying turkey and dressing and my mom's delicious sugar pies! YUMMY!
Today has been a fun and relaxing day. I have enjoyed the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, food, a nap, Cowboys football game, and now a little Aggie football.
I hope you all are enjoying this day of Thanksgiving!

Are you ready for some football?!?!?
Steven and I have spent the last couple of weekends lounging around in front of the TV, snacking, and cheering on our favorite teams. We recently discovered that we have access to ESPN 360 on our computers, so sometimes we will have a game or two we are flipping back and forth to on the TV, one playing on the computer, and possibly a radio broadcast of another game all going at the same time. LOL Luckily we both love this game! Steven and I have a little bit of a rivalry in our household...he is not a big fan, well, he is not at all a fan of my Cowboys; he loves the Houston Texans.
We are hoping we will be able to travel to Aggieland soon to catch the action in person. I cannot wait!! Check out my mom and sister's blogs. They will probably have a post soon about their recent trip to College Station and all the exciting events that take place on an Aggie game day! WHOOP!
Which teams are you, my friends, cheering on this season?

All Around the House
First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother Trevor! He celebrated his b-day on August 23.
Next, things have been very busy around our household. I have been trying to learn the ins and outs of labor and delivery nursing...no pun intended...hehehe! There is sooooo much to learn, and most of the time I feel like I am just trying to keep my head above water. My preceptor (the nurse that is teaching me), my nurse educator, and my co-workers have been very supportive and encouraging. I work with a great group of women, and am so thankful for them!! I have been working/training on nights (7p-7a) and I recently found out that for a little time I will be moved to days. I am not very excited about this. Our unit has hired several new nurses lately, so a couple of us will finish out our training on days while the other girls finish their training on nights. After everyone has completed their orientation, I will be back on nights...I will be counting down!!!! Days are a lot faster paced, and just a bit different than nights...plus, I have finally adapted to the "night life." Even though I feel like I am living in constant stress trying to figure out how to do the best job, I do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what I am doing! L&D has been my dream job for a long time, and I cannot see myself anywhere else! Pregnancy and birth or such amazing gifts that God has allowed us to be a part of; I don't think I will ever not be amazed as I witness these new lives being brought into this world!
On to Steven... He has started back to teaching, and I think he is feeling it. LOL He has been wanting to get in bed earlier lately. Poor guy. I know my mom, dad, sister, and many of my other family members and friends are experiencing the same thing. This week he has been working on figuring out which form of classroom management is going to work for his students. Apparently he has a bunch of talkers. All in all I think he likes his new place of work. He has a great support system among is co-workers and administrators! I love all of his team members! They are a pretty fun group of women, and I think they will take good care of my Steven.
After a couple more weeks, I think Steven and I will have our schedules all worked out. Even though we are so tired and busy, we have been lucky enough to have a couple of hours each day to spend with each other. :)
How are YOU doing?
