6 Months Old

It brings tears to my eyes to realize that my sweet little baby is 1/2 of a year old.  I mean, wasn't it just yesterday when I was trying to decide if I should go to the hospital for delivery?!?!  These six months have flown, but boy have they been fun!
Harrison's Happenings:
  • Sitting up unassisted [first time ~ December 30] (Mommy still places pillows behind him in case he topples over).
  • Eating solids [first time Jan 15 - avacado] (avacado, oatmeal cereal).
  • Loves his froggy teething rattle and plastic bathtime rings.
  • LOVES bathtime (sometimes cries when the bath is over).
  • Likes to play Baby Smash (computer game).
  • Sleeping 5-6 hrs at night.
  • Still in size 3 diapers.
  • Squeezing into a few 3 mon outfits (Mommy forgot they were in his drawer), 3-6 mon, 6 mon clothes,  some 9 mon, and even a few 12 month outfits.
Harrison's reaction to avacado.

Gotta love the hair!

Harrison -

Mommy and Daddy grow more in love with you every single minute!  There is nothing you do that we don't think is just so cute (even your funny noises when you are pooping are pretty cute...sometimes it sounds like you say "Whoa" when go).  You are a precious baby!  We realize we are truly blessed that we have such a happy little boy.  You are so friendly with everyone.  Usually everyone who smiles at you gets a smile back from you.  You are very laid back.  Mommy drags you around with her pretty much all the time, and you don't seem to mind one bit.  You just play with whatever toys are around and enjoy being loved on by Mommy or whoever else wants a turn.  You don't have any specific schedule which helps Mommy and Daddy to be able to do and go as we please.  You aren't a mobile baby by any means.  Mommy thinks this is because she always picks you up pretty soon after you get fussy.  Oh well, you are only little once.  You can roll from your tummy to your back, but you don't want to make any effort to roll over your shoulder to get back to your tummy.  You have started kicking your legs when you are on your tummy (as if to say "I want to go forward").  Soon you'll learn to get those legs under you and propel forward.  Mommy and Daddy will quickly learn how to baby proof our home then.  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!  We are learning a lot, so be patient with us little man.  We are excited to see what next month brings (my prediction...teeth!).
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
